Exploring the World on a Budget

Blog

Hello and Asalamualikum everyone! This is Huzaifa, your travel buddy on a mission to take you out of your beds and show you the wonders of the world. You will find a lot of travel hacks and blogs on the internet about travel hacks or finding cheaper flights, but either they are not starting from Pakistan or giving you a fixed plan to move on. This blog is specifically written by me for travellers who want to travel cheaply to different countries solo or with friends and family without breaking the bank.

Mantra: Spend less, Experience More!

Money is a big factor for Pakistanis like us when we think to travel because our economic situation is worsening year by year. Right now one USD to PKR Conversion rate is ~ 300 as of June 2023. This problem is bounding travel enthusiasts to travel in upcoming times

So, grab your cup of coffee or lemonade because I am going to share my 6 years of immersive experience in the travel industry for the exchange of duas only!

I am writing this with keeping the following audience in my mind.

  • Travelling for the first time.
  • Has single (Pakistani) Nationality
  • Has Green Pakistani Passport only
  • Has no UK/US or Schengen Visa on Passport

So, if you have travelled already, you can skip the parts like Passports or Food, etc.

Let’s jump into travelling hacks without further delay.

Right now, these are the following tourist countries (experience-wise) that are the cheapest to travel from Pakistan.

  • Azerbaijan, Capital: Baku
  • Egypt, Capital: Cairo
  • Srilanka, Capital: Colombo
  • UAE, Capital: Abu Dhabi

If one has to decide from the above options as a first-time traveller, Azerbaijan is the most underrated place one should visit according to me.

When it comes to travelling, the following are the major parts that decide the total budget.

  1. Passport Cost
  2. Visa Cost
  3. Medical Insurance
  4. Accommodations
  5. Flights
  6. Food
  7. Inter and Intra City Transport
  8. Sim, Currency, Money Exchange and Airport Transfer
  9. Activities to do in that specific country on each day and Tickets to different places

Now I will explain the science behind each part in detail so that you can plan your trip accordingly.

Passport

A passport is the first thing that you get to step into the world of travelling. I like to call it my stamp book. To know how to get it made as a first-time traveller, Read my Blog Here.

Visa Cost

Pakistanis need visas to travel to every major country of the world. There are 3 types of visas that I explained in this Blog.

Medical Insurance

Medical Insurance is an important part when travelling abroad. Usually, it is mandatory to have medical insurance to cover the travel period. But if you have an option to leave this insurance, it is better not to. It is just health protection in case something bad happens. Medical insurance will become your lifesaver since medical treatment is very expensive abroad. Medical insurance is around 10,000 PKR for a period of 10 days to a month.
